So who wants to see Gina Carano make a comeback? Is she better off in the UFC or Bellator, and how well would she do against today’s roster of female fighters?

It depends on what she wants out of her comeback. If she wants a big payday, the immediate title (or catch weight) fight with Rousey is the obvious fight for that. But if she wants career longevity with the chance to establish herself as the queen of WMMA once again, then I think she should probably join Marloes Coenen & Julia Budd at Bellator’s new 145 lb. division, then have a potential bout at 135 lbs. with Ronda.
I personally think she should stay retired. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of hers, and I would love to see her have a triumphant return to MMA, but 5 years is a long time to be away from competition, especially in such a young sport that continues to evolve. Weight cutting is also another factor. This is something she struggled with while she was in her prime, so I’m sure it wont get any easier after such a long layoff.
But that’s just my opinion, she is definitely talented enough to be successful once more. After all, crazier things have happened in MMA. I just wouldn’t want to to see another great athlete fight past their prime and get crushed.
If I had to make a bet, I would say she dips her toes in Bellator first. I don’t think things went well between her management and the UFC, plus her past with Coker in Strikeforce will help make sure she makes some decent money on Spike TV. What do you guys think?
